Israeli Dissident on Naftali Bennett: He’s a sadistic, right-wing, neo-fascist
Miko Peled says that Benjamin Netanyahu being ousted will not, alone, be a reason to celebrate
Much of the conventional narrative of the likely deposing of Israel’s longtime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from the seat has been that it would represent a progressive move forward for the nation and region. The only problem, according to Israeli writer and activist Miko Peled, is that the person who is set to possibly take over in the position is just as extreme, bigoted, and violent as Netanyahu, if not more so.
Naftali Bennett, whose parents are from San Francisco, is set to take over a possible coalition government in Israel. If he succeeds with that ascension to power, he’ll be one step closer to enacting what Peled tells Abby Martin and The Empire Files in the below video is “The most radical, neo-fascist, messianic Zionist agenda we’ve ever seen.”
Peled argues that now is not the time for so-called moderates and progressives to celebrate, just because Netanyahu may finally be ousted. A Bennett-led government will likely be even more aggressive and go beyond Israel’s current state of apartheid against Arab Palestinians, and move further towards a goal of total eradication of the land’s indigenous people by the European Zionist movement.
“Naftali Bennett is just as bad, if not worse, than Benjamin Netanyahu. He’s a sadistic, right-wing, neo-fascist. The fact that everyone else is willing to go with him is unbelievable. It’s a reality that nobody could have anticipated. There’s nothing even remotely in Naftali Bennett’s agenda that could possibly bring anything good in the form of compromise, peace negotiations. His entire political agenda…is to destroy Palestine, destroy Palestinians, and build a Jewish temple on the site of [the] Al Aqsa [Mosque].”
